Q=MOUNT
The manual Q=MOUNT quick release complements the popular dovetail Q=BASE quick release system from NOVOFLEX. The elegant round shape of the Q=MOUNT is a perfect combination of form and function. The adapter can be used with all conventional tripod
heads or other mounting units with a 1⁄4" or 3/8" stud.

In contrast to the automatic Q=BASE quick release system, Q=MOUNT is a manual quick release. It has two decisive improvements over other manual systems. First, a safety pin – in conjunction with the interchangeable NOVOFLEX Q=PLATE mounting plates – prevents the plates from slipping out in either direction.
 
Second, the high-precision double thread makes fixing extremely fast: a fraction of a turn does the trick, there‘s no need to turn and turn endlessly. NOVOFLEX offers a complete system of matching camera plates and L-brackets for this quick release adapter. The adapter is also compatible with many other interchangeable profile mounting plates, albeit without safety-pin function (the safety pin can be retracted if necessary).

NOVOFLEX Q=PLATE
For the Q=MOUNT system NOVOFLEX offers nine specially designed mounting plates (Q=PLATE) in different lengths and versions: with one or more studs (1/4“ and 3/8“), with anti-twist pin, for middle format cameras, plus special plates for video cameras/camcorder with video pin. All Q=PLATES use the special safety pin that prevents the plate from accidentally slipping out. Thanks to this safety pin, the long mounting plates can be used securely and with no problems as a macro rack with stop.

All mounting plates are machined to highest precision and extremely rugged.

Angle bracket for Q=BASE, Q=MOUNT and CASTEL-Q

The new angle bracket for the Q=BASE system (Q=BASE, Q=MOUNT and CASTEL-Q) makes it easy to change the camera format from landscape to portrait in a matter of seconds. The long travel for camera adjustment provided by the slotted bar means that the camera position can be varied as necessary, also for use in stereo photography. Cameras with a motor drive and or powerpack handles can also be swivelled in the optical axis.

The angle bracket has an extra 1/ 4“ thread for direct tripod connection.
