Description:
Kalsil is a universal silicone duplicating material for all kinds of duplications. Kalsil is an addition- vulcanising Vinyl-polysiloxane silicone. Due to the practical way of mixing, the superior reproduction of details, the constancy of shape and long shelf life, duplicating with Kalsil is an extremely rational and timesaving method. Without further treatment, the surface of a model produced in a Kalsil form is smooth and hard. Due to its platinum hardener system, the material is virtually non-shrinking and it is not necessary to pour out the duplicating form immediately. The final hardness of the cured model is approx. 15 + 2 shore A.
Dosage:
Kalsil is mixed in a ratio of 1:1 of the components A + B.
Processing:
Mixing of the two components can be effected either in a beaker or with the help of the numerous dosing- and mixing devices available. The most rational and cleanest method is mixing in the Silicone Duplicating mixing unit. Such units can dose, mix and dispense automatically and without any air bubbles at the touch of a button.
Times:
Mixing time (manual): 45 sec.
Processing time (incl. mixing at 23°C) 6+1 min.
Deflasking (23°C): 25 + 5 min.
Mixing and processing time refer to a room temperature of 23°C and a relative air humidity of 50 %. |
